Imani Badillo (they/them) is a Studio Art and Environmental Studies student at Oberlin College.

Academically, Imani Badillo works to knit together visual imagery with environmental issues and events. Continuously engaged in multiple communities, Imani's multimedia work shows learned methods of studio artmaking, primarily oil painting, as well as efforts of community care, such as crocheting, embroidery, cooking, and fiber mending.

Imani works as a non-binary artist and writer. A part of a collective of artists they call friends, Imani is completely surrounded and inspired by the work of their peers. Evaluating personal concerns such as individual expression, mental health, QTBIPOC identity, and traditional knowledge, Imani works to share these subjects with others. Connected with their peers through issues of POC community expression, safe space building, environmental and social justice, and everyday nourishment, Imani seeks to express their gained knowledge with other QTPOC and allies. Imani Badillo remains an artist whose sole goal is to use illustrated thoughts and memories as an invitation into an intimate network of shared knowledge.
